US reconnaissance military helicopter seen over Sale yesterday

An US reconnaissance military helicopter came over Sale yesterday during the afternoon, it was flying very fast but we managed to get a picture.

It is thought the helicopter was going toward City Airport Manchester where many military helicopters have been seen, they come to the airport for a refuel.

The US helicopter though was a rare treat for those with eagle eyes, it was a Boeing AH-6 light attack reconnaissance helicopter, it can fly at 128 knots and reach 20,000 ft, it has been in service for around 30-years.

It is lightly armed and used on special operations alongside the Apache equivalent.
