High police presence around The Avenue in Sale tonight

We attended an incident after reports came in of a larger than normal police presence around The Avenue in Sale tonight  June 14th at around 8.50pm

A patrol car was on Moss Lane and Meadway and two on The Avenue we also saw several cars and vans on the A56, nothing was obvious at first although we heard the voice of a young male shouting, on closer inspection we could see a male had been arrested and secured in a car.

Residents were looking on and talking, with some passing motorists doing about 1 mph going past which must have been frustrating for other motorists.

Later on at around 9,30pm another patrol car was seen speeding down The Avenue to another incident on what seemed to be a very busy evening for our stretched police service.
