Police close down the A56 near Altrincham Retail Park after a two car collision

Police have closed off all sides of the A56 south and north bound close to Altrincham Retail Park in Broadheath tonight after a two car collision.

We got to the scene at around midnight, the incident at around 10pm and one man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

All emergency services were involved and the major incident unit was on the scene, from what we know it looks like the white vehicle was turning right and smashed into the overturned black vehicle coming the other way..
