Motorcyclist suffers broken ankles and wrist after a collision in Altrincham

 

A motorcyclist suffered several broken bones after a collision in Altrincham

Shortly before 9pm on July 6th police were called to reports of a collision on Hale Road.

A black Lexmoto motorbike has been travelling along Hale Road when it was involved in a collision with a silver Chevrolet Cruze at the junction with Park Road.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital where was treated for two broken ankles and a broken wrist.

The female driver of the Chevrolet was taken to hospital for treatment, she suffered minor injuries.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Police constable Peter Hamnett – Steen of GMP’s Road Policing Unit, said: “The motorbike rider was left in hospital a number of days and out thoughts remain with him as he recovers from this incident.

“Hale Road was closed for over three hours while investigative work was carried out but we want to appeal to any witnesses to please get in touch.

“We are continuing to piece together the exact circumstances that led to this collision so if you have any information or dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation, please call us.”
