Police have launched an investigation after a man was knifed in Flixton
Shortly after 2am on July 31st police were called by the ambulance service to Lowther Gardens to reports that a man had been stabbed.
The 26-year-old man who was knifed was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault (Section 18) and remains in custody for questioning.
Further enquiries are being carried out and police want to speak to anyone who may have information that can assist the investigation.
Detective Inspector Paul Copplestone of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “Earlier today we were called by the ambulance service to Lowther Gardens following reports that a man had been stabbed.
“He remains in hospital in a critical condition at this time and we have a man in custody however we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information that can assist us.
“I appreciate this happened in the early hours of the morning but someone may have heard a disturbance or have information about exactly where the incident may have occurred.
“If you think you may have heard or seen something then please contact us as a matter of urgency.”
