Teenager arrested after knifing a man in a targeted attack in Stretford

Shortly after 12.20pm on Wednesday 1 August 2018, police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed in a property on Glastonbury Road in Stretford.

A man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and remains in custody for questioning.

There are currently scenes in place on Glastonbury Road in Stretford and Lostock Road in Urmston in connection with this incident.

At this time it is believed this is a targeted incident and enquiries are ongoing.
