Partington deserves better than only one political party to vote for next year

As the political people gear up for another round of local elections next year we return to what happened last time around and it is hoped with this article democracy will be restored for residents in Partington, Carrington and a tiny but of Sale West.

Last year we found out well before the local elections were due to take place that no one other than Labour was standing in the Bucklow ward, on the election sheet all the political party’s were listed however they all were paper candidates.

The Trafford Labour candidate with one of the worst election leaflets we have ever seen in terms of information and paper quality could put her feet up knowing she had won before the elections were due to take place.

This is simply unfair on everyone, every adult who is listed to vote in the Bucklow ward, politics let you all down at a time when you needed it most, whilst we do not take anything away from the winning candidate we felt it was completely unfair and undemocratic.

Can we ask all political partys to challenge Trafford Labour next time, they may still win which is fair enough, however fight them with a genuine candidate, if any party needs help from us we shall give it to them, contact us.

Political partys tend to go with target wards, so Altrincham would be Greens, Timperley Lib Dems and Tories, Flixton and Davyhulme Labour and the Tories, we want a party to stand up to Trafford Labour in Bucklow.

The Tory candidate for the by-election although came from Partington and had decent funding from what we can gather had a poor social media and media campaign, this is where an election could be won! you reach more people through social media and media.

We do not hate Trafford Labour or anyone within it, it is great that change at last has happened in Trafford, we though believe voters deserve a full list of candidates to vote for, not just one! and one with no political background and other personality defects.
