Police have arrested a man this morning Sept 7th after drug raids in Partington.
Following intelligence and work with partner agencies, officers were mobilised at the crack of dawn to force entry into two properties on Sussex Road and Devonshire Road in Partington this morning.
Supported by officers from Challenger Manchester- a team dedicated to disrupting drug supply and organised crime, Trafford officers arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, he remains in custody for questioning.
Police seized cannabis weight of around 5KG and a quantity of white powder which is yet to be identified.
Mobile Phones and other items synonymous with drug supply were also seized and enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant John Seaton of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “Proactive action like this is absolutely necessary for us to disrupt those who supply drugs from those who benefit from it.
“There is a clear hierarchy in drug supply, which can only be dismantled when we receive information so if you know about organised crime in your area, please take the time to call us.
“Drugs and the effect of drugs on society are incredibly detrimental so we need to take action and fast but can only do so with your help.”
