As part of the celebrations marking the 100 birthday of the RAF ( Royal Air Force) they are doing a tour of the UK and from next weekend the tour visits Manchester.
On September 14 to 16th at Albert Square you will see some aircraft that the RAF have used over the years which include:
- Harrier GR3
- Supermarine spitfire MK1A
- Lancaster Bomber
- Typhoon full-scale replica
- Sopwith Snipe Biplane
Royal Air Force staff will be on hand during the event to answer some questions, the fun starts at 11am and ends at 6pm on Friday September 14 and 9am until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
In Manchester we are somewhat used to military aircraft with several visits to City Airport Manchester or what was once known as Barton Airport, and sometimes we in Trafford get to see some military aircraft flying over from time to time.
