Officers were called shortly before 2.50pm on Thursday 20 September to a property on Welwyn Close, Davyhulme.

Three men forced entry to the property before threatening the occupants, a woman in her 80s and her sister, with screwdrivers.

They stole cash and a mobile phone before making off from the scene.

Detective Inspector Terry Chatterton said: “This was a cowardly robbery that has targeted an elderly woman and her sister in their own home, leaving them understandably terrified.

“We would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact police immediately.”
