UPDATED: A motorcyclist has died following a collision in Stretford

A motorcyclist died today Sept 28 following a collision in Stretford


At around 3pm this afternoon police were called to Mosely Road in Stretford to reports that a motorbike had been involved in a collision with an armco barrier.

It is thought the biker believed to be in his 40’s lost control of his bike before hitting the barrier.

Officers attended and administered CPR alongside paramedics but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Constable Phil Shaw of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a truly a tragic incident and our thoughts are with this man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.

“We are keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage showing the incident or the moments leading up to it.

“If you think you have information that can assist us with our enquiries then I would urge you to please get in touch.”
