Police are aware of an incident on November 7th where a male has approached a 15-year-old female from his car on the Bradfield Road/Humphrey Lane area of Urmston.
The male asked her where she was going from his car window, she ignored him pretending to be on the phone to her mother, hearing this the man decided to leave the scene.
It is thought the male was between 30 and 40-years old and was driving a dark blue car similar to a Toyota Yaris, we have no further description of the man at this time, police are saying although this man may have been acting in a purely innocent way, it has understandably frightened the girl.
Police also are asking the parents of children to make it clear about how important it is to be vigilant now the darker nights are back, also to tell them to walk home in pairs whenever possible and plan your route home, and always use well-lit roads and pathways.
Keeping vigilant means to be aware of the environment you are in, keeping switched on at all times.
