Police have released images after two elderly women were robbed at Quality Save in Chorlton.
At around 1.15pm on Monday 5 November 2018, police were called to reports of a theft which occurred sometime between 12pm and 1pm the same day at Quality Save supermarket on Chorlton Place.
A 73-year-old woman was followed from a bank into the supermarket before two offenders – one man and one woman- stole a quantity of cash from her handbag.
Shortly before 2.45pm on Saturday 8 December 2018, police were called to reports of a theft that happened at around 2pm the same day at Quality Save supermarket on Chorlton Place.
The victim – a woman also in her 70’s – was distracted by the man as a woman stole a quantity of cash from her handbag. Enquiries are ongoing.
PC Martin Catterall, of GMP’s City of Manchester Division, said: “From what we have established it is clear that people are deliberately preying on some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
“We are doing all that we can to find those responsible and we have released images of people that we are keen to speak to.
“I would encourage anyone who recognises the people pictured, or thinks they can assist with our enquiries, to please get in touch.”
