Man charged after a firearms incident in Sale

A man has been charged after a gun was fired at a car on Eastway in Sale

Francis Beal (17/11/1993) of no fixed address has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause serious injury.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear today (Thursday 24 January 2019) at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.

Shortly before 9.50am on Tuesday 22 January 2019, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Eastway.

Witnesses reported seeing a man aiming and firing a handgun at a black M Sport BMW, before the car fled.

According to police no one was injured at the scene, officers found evidence of a firearms discharge and recovered a handgun

We saw an ambulance at the scene though and several reports saying a man had ended up on the floor covered in blood.

Later on that day we also saw forensics and a police dog searching for drugs.
