Detectives are appealing for information after a family of three were assaulted in Manchester City Centre.

At around 10.40pm on Tuesday 19 February 2019, a family of three – a man is his 40s, a woman in her 30s and a teenage girl – were walking towards their parked car on Trinity Way in the Strangeways area when they were approached by a man who tried to get in their vehicle.

The offender proceeded to attack the family before fleeing on foot.

Officers attended and the victims were taken to hospital for treatment. They have since been released and are recovering at home.

The man was left with hand injuries, while the woman suffered from facial injuries.

The girl was left with concussion

Officers have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.
