Ofcom have announced new rules so that mobile phone providers will let you switch networks with one simple text.

In the past sswitching networks has been a struggle for some customers with networks doing everything they can to stop you leaving, this text message ends all of that.
Here is a simple guide in how to get yourself on to another network:
- Text from your current network ‘PAC’ (If you want to keep your number) to 65075
- Text from your current network ‘STAC’ (If you want a new number) to 75075
Once you have sent the text you will get a PAC code if you want to keep your number, send this code to your new operator and it will be changed on that day.
Remember that if you are in a contract you will still need to pay what you owe them and you could be hit hard with early termination charges, if you are on pay and go the operator will tell you your remaining balance, we suggest to spend all but 30p of it then send the text or they will swipe your credit.
If you are confused by it all and want more information text ‘INFO’ to 85075
Lindsey Fussell, Ofcom’s Consumer Group Director, said: “Breaking up with your mobile provider has never been easier thanks to Ofcom’s new rules. You won’t need to have that awkward chat with your current provider to take advantage of the great deals available.”
