Racing pundit John McCririck has died aged 79

Mcririck was born in Surrey and was educated in Guernsey, Jersey and Harrow and left school with three O’levels.
His career started as a journalist with The Sporting life then joined The Daily Star, it was though in 1981 when his TV career started joing ITV’s horse racing team, when the horse racing moved to Channel 4, it was then soon after Channel 4 gave him a bigger role, sadly after many years with them he was not included for the broadcasts from the start of 2013, he took Channel 4 to court but lost.
Mcririck starred in several shows through his career including being a housemate in Big Brother in 2010.
He will always be known for his long side burns and dear stalker hat.
He died on July 5th 2019 at a London hospital aged 79 after a short illness.
