Google reveals to the world the new Pixel 4 and XL mobile phones

Google revealed the new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL handsets to mixed reviews.

The tech specs are what makes a phone not so great or premium so here is a run down of the pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.

Pixel 4:

  • 5.7″ FHD + Flexible OLED with 444 pixels per square inch with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection it also has an aluminium and matt finish hybrid back and IP68 waterproof and dust resistant
  • Two cameras at the back, the first is a 16MP at F/2.4 and the second is a 12.2 MP camera at F/1.7, both lens has optical and electronic stabilisation
  • Front camera: 8 MP with a /F2.0 arpeture fixed focus 90 degree field of view lens
  • Video camera: On the rear 4K @30fps, 1080p@30-60 and 120fps: on the front 1080p@30fps
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with Andreno 640 for gaming, the processor also has Titan M security module to extra protect your handset from security issues
  • The pixel has stereo speakers with noise suppresion
  • WIFI: 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • This is not a 5G handset, it has though 4G, 3G and 2G support with an e-sim
  • Battery: 2800 MAH (this is low powered compared to others on the matket)
  • Colours: Black,White and limited edition orange

The pixel 4 has some what has been called ‘gimmicky’ additions such as night sight and other effects that will help you get pictures of the stars like never before, we just wonder if Google can then do an app that can actually clear the clouds first!

The bigget 6.3″ Pixel 4 Pro has a QHD+Flexible OLED screen with Pixel per square inch of 537, it has the same protection as the smaller 4 but with a different backing which is soft touch glass back with Active Edge.

It has a 6GB ram instead of a 4GB ram (Randon Access Memory) on the Pixel 4 and has a Snapdragon 855 processor.

The Pixel 4 Pro has the same cameras as the 4 on the back, the selfie camera is better at 16 MP with a 52″ field of view everything else is the same.

And last on the list of this handset is the battery life and that is a 3700MAH battery which Google claim it will last all day, it has USB type C fast charging.
