Leah Bracknell star of Emmerdale Farm has died aged 55

Leah Bracknell who played Zoe Tate in Emmerdale Farm has sadly passed away aged 55.

She played Zoe Tate in the soap opera from 1989 to 2005 in which she was nominated for a national television award in 2002 for most popular actress and won the 2006 British Soap award for the best exit.

Leahs first appearance on tv was in a TV series called ‘The Chiffy Kids’ in 1976 which was directed by her father David Ian Bracknell, she will be most known though for her work on Emmerdale Farm, once that ended she went back into the theatre and had many big roles on stage.

On October 2016 Leah announced she has stage 4 lung cancer, she managed to raise enough money for experimental treatment in Germany.

Her last apperances was on This Morning and Loose Women in August this year where she talked about her fight and that she was on an immunotheraphy trial.
