Male arrested in Flixton after police find a large knife in a car he had been speeding in

Trafford police have arrested a male in the Flixton area during the evening on October 16th.

He was first spotted speeding along Woodsend Road, police followed the driver for a short time until the male decided to abandon the car on Wyndcliff Drive.

Police used a tactical area search for the male using the dog and drone unit, it was later police found the male hiding under the car.

The car was then searched and the knife was recovered, the male was then arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle, possession of cannabis and possession of the knife.

Police are saying the car was stolen from a burglary in Bolton.
