With all the rain we have had it was just the matter of time before this brook was to go on flood alert, other parts of the brook going to pink park (Woodheys) could also be very high at this time.

The levels are increasing at this time and this will mean water will likely flood Covershaw Lane, Moss Lane and parts of Sinderland Lane, it won’t cause any issues for Partington.

In other parts of Trafford a huge increase in water levels are seen at Flixton although it was leveled out for a time this morning is back on the rise again at 1pm and heading for 4m, for the area to be on  flood alert it would need to be 4.7m

At Sale water levels went towards the flood alert line during the night reaching 3.9m after a slight dip this morning is back on the rise again.

Further south into Cheshire the River Bollin at Bollington Mill is on flood alert and almost went above the highest recorded levels of water which is 1.5m, water levels reached 1.3m! it has though also leveled out and water levels should fall.

We will keep an eye on things as rain continues to fall in Trafford.

The weather will improve and we should see no more rain for a while at some point today.
