Why do we celebrate Halloween? creepy facts within

Halloween gets underway on October 31st with all the family having fun during the evening, and some of us gather around a covern.

Although Halloween is a fun event, it is also a spiritual one and witches and interested people from all over Manchester come to the covern and do their thing, and we have two here in Trafford! one in Carrington and Sale.

Paganism is a very big thing here in Greater Manchester as it is all over the country and indeed the world, despite what you may have seen on the cinema or on video they are not out to turn people into frogs and they have nothing to do with the dark one.

Halloween is thought to have dated back to the 17th century and is believed to be from ancient Gaelic Harvest Festivals.

Remember though despite the many adults and kids having a great time, some of us are not and we have to remember this when knocking on doors.

Vulnerable people get scared at this time of year more so the elderly who may be on their own and people with Autism or mental health issues.
