Man from Stretford charged after assaulting a man and two officers in Sale

A man has been charged after an assault on a man and two police officers in Sale.

Police were called at around 2.30am on Saturday 30 November 2019 to reports of an assault on a 24-year-old man.

When officers later tried to detain the suspect, he assaulted one and spat at another.

Jack Lindley (19/12/1995) of Wingfield Street, Stretford, has been charged with section 18 assault and three counts of assault on an emergency service worker following an incident in the early hours of Saturday 30 November.

He will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 2 December 2019.
