Sayers Bakers and Pound Bakery saved from closure

Sayers Bakers and Pound Bakery have been saved from closure after being bought by Karen Wood.

The company fell into administration yesterday (18 December 2019) and could have meant thousands of jobs would have been lost, and all stores closed including the Sayers in Partington, Pound Bakery in Sale and others.

Fortunately Karen Wood a private buyer bought the business and has now renamed it Sayers and Poundbakery Limited.

We are told though 11 stores are to close and we can confirm Partington is one of those that was saved from the chop.
