United’s struggles continue as they are beaten at Watford

Manchester United’s roller coaster ride of a season continues as they slip up at Watford.

The first half was a dreadful display by both teams, I don’t think anyone even knew the ref blew for half time due to half the stadium was asleep!

It could not have got any worse for watching so fans of both teams got a second wind and finally something happened! Watford scored.

It was what Ole said “A freak goal” as De Gea’s concentration was not on the game, maybe still asleep from the first half, the ball was easy to catch however De Gea saw the ball go over him into the net, he then woke up as he fell to the ground hoping it to swallowing him up.

Things did not get any better for United who lacked any confidence, any energy or interest, the body language of every player said it all, they did not want to be playing football! Watford scored again and United’s chances of getting even a point did not look on the cards.

United brought on Greenwood and later Pogba! yes I did say Pogba the guy with an ankle injury for about two months yet apparently was seen playing basketball in America in recent times, whatever the conspiracy United fans must have been happy to see the man back playing in a red shirt again.

Pogba made some difference but could not get any spark back into a depressed looking side who in the end lost 2-0.

Ole will need to buy some players next month if United are to get anywhere near a Champions League place, I have said this many times on social media that United need a new goalkeeper of the same class as De Gea, just to push the Spanish goalkeeper who is  needing a kick up the backside and a few energy drinks at half time so he keeps awake.

Some fans will start asking questions of Ole and the board again no doubt, people though need to give the man a chance, let’s give him three transfer windows, next month, summer 2020 and Jan 2021 if United are still not firing then the board must look for changes.

A full season to get this right will be fair on the former Manchester United player.
