Police find bread and kitchen knives on two males outside the Slug and Lettuce in Sale


Police responded to calls from Trafford Council CCTV about two males outside the Slug and Lettuce in Sale with knives.

Officers and the dog unit attended in the early hours of 10 January 2020 and following a search they found one of the males with a large bread knife in his waist band and a large kitchen knife tucked in his sock he also had with him some cannabis.

The second male was searched and officers found a kitchen knife in his waist band.

Both were arrested and taken into custody and questioned, they were then charged and remanded appeared in court on 11 January 2020.

Bradley Warburton (20/03/2000) of Thornbury Road, Stretford has been sentenced at Salford and Manchester Magistrates Court to 6 months in a Young Offenders Institute after pleading guilty to possession of a bladed article, and possession of a class B drug, 

The other male who cannot be named due to his age also pleaded guilty at court to possession of a bladed article and was bailed until 3 February for sentencing.
