Be on your guard! after a number of online traders have taken advantage of the COVID-19 virus

Trafford Trading Standards are warning the public to be on their guard after numerous COVID-19 scams have surfaced.

 

A number of online traders have taken advantage of the virus and are selling fake virus kits, these kits are only available from the NHS.

Other fake products include:

• Fake vaccines
• Miracle Cures
• Over priced hand sanitiser which contain nasty ingredients banned for human use
• Over priced masks which claim 100% protection from the virus

Please take a moment to think about what they are offering and look at the reviews of the site – and remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it normally is.
