We went out to investigate how many passengers on some of Trafford’s buses were actually wearing face masks to protect them and others from SARS-Cov-19 (COVID-19)
Passengers on all buses seen yesterday (20 June 2020) did not have a face mask on, it is currently mandatory for all face masks to be worn when using public transport.
We think that having one comfortably around your neck just in case of any sneezing or spluttering, or if someone starts to have a coughing fit you can quickly put it back on your face, this is what should have been recommended.
Buses, Trams and all public transport have to follow government guidelines despite what the public feel about it or they will be in serious trouble..
Of course the buses seen on Woodhouse Lane in Sale and Sinderland Lane heading towards Partington was too small to really cause any issues, it though highlights some issues bus companies need to address, maybe even trams and trains to make sure everyone is complying with guidance.
