Coronavirus: All children could have stayed in school

The Government’s chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance sat down to a lot of questions today 16 July 2020 as he appeared before the Commons science and technology committee.

We noted several things he said more so when he told the committee that “They get a much milder disease the evidence of severe disease accept in a small minority and it is extremely rare in children”

He continued “Children are at reduced risk of catching the virus, and reduced transmission, schools don’t seem to be the cause of the outbreak.”

This is completely different at the start of this virus, when we had been told that children were more likely to be asymptomatic and could spread this flu type virus, from what he has said this is obviously not the case and they would have known that at the start of the pandemic.

As it is now the kids will go back in September and the school breaks they have will need to be scrapped for this year until Christmas and New Year to catch up on what they have missed.

It is up to the reader to decide what he or she thinks, we have our own views and from what we saw today, it does not fit in with even the governments fear narratives about this virus that from what Vallance said today is no more than seasonal flu.
