We had a good look around the set and our first time back in the social club, it still had the stench of fire which we was told had nothing to do with the set, as we got to another part of the building which was not part of the set, the entire place was gutted.
Filming got underway soon after our visit and many residents were watching on from the road, it was a little confusing to most watching with a lot going on and scenes took no more than a minute at a time and sadly out of view.
Interest in the filming helped lift the mood at the time for Partington residents as they could be proud that the TV company chose Partington instead of anywhere else, and still they can be proud, even more so now they can watch a bit of Partington on national TV.
