The Trafford Centre has joined forces with Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas to collect hundreds of toys and gifts for disadvantaged children this Christmas.
Trafford Centre customers responded in their droves, with hundreds of customers already donating toys and gifts in return for a free skate at the centre’s Tinsel Town ice rink, in partnership with Hits Radio.
The Trafford Centre will gratefully continue to collect toy and gift donations at the Customer Service Desk until 19 December, particularly items suitable for babies or teenagers.
Zoe Inman, Centre Director at The Trafford Centre, said: “The response so far to our toy appeal has been simply amazing, and we can’t thank visitors enough for their contributions. The Trafford Centre sits at the heart of the community, so we wanted to use our platform to support Cash for Kids’ fantastic Mission Christmas campaign and help those in need this Christmas.”
1 in 3 children across Greater Manchester are living in poverty, and for these families, Christmas is a luxury they just can’t afford. Mission Christmas aims to ensure that disadvantaged children wake up to something special under the tree on Christmas morning.
