In a special event this evening Apple revealed a few products which included a new iPhone to the line up which has been widely called an ‘Affordable’ iPhone.

If you can say £419 is cheap then your pockets are deeper than most! although Apple will buy your older iPhone which needs to be from iPhone 8 and would be best for it to be in good condition to get the most amount of money.

The new iPhone SE 2022 will be 4.7″ and will have huge bezels and touch ID as previous models, the screen is LCD with IPS technology, screen resolution is 1334 x 750 with 326 pixels, the screen will have an oleophobic coating which protects it from finger prints.

It will have the same chipset as the iPhone 13 (A15 Bionic)

The camera will be 12 mega pixel with a f/1.8 aperture, the single camera will also have 5x digital zoom and image stabilisation, interestingly on the Apple website it claims taking a photo in panorama mode will be 63 mega pixels.

Lots of digital effects for the user to get the image wanted, the lens also has a crystal sapphire lens cover although we have seen tests and it turned out not to be true on other devices.

Video recording will have 4K at 24fps, 25fps, 30fps, 60fps, 1080p at 25fps, 30fps, 60fps, 720p at 30fps and extended dynamic range up to 30fps.

Night mode comes to the new iPhone SE including Cinematic video stabilisation in 4K, 1080p, 720p resolutions.

The front camera will be a 7 mega pixel snapper with a f/2.2 aperture with everything the back camera can do.

This handset will come with 5G no millimetre wave support which means the speeds will be variable wherever you live and will not be faster than handsets with millimetre wave antenna support.

The price will start at £419 for the 64GB model and will come in three colours, Product red, starlight and midnight black.

This is not a cheap handset, Apple do not do cheap! however its a huge improvement from the last SE, despite its small size the handset offers the highest tech similar to the iPhone 13 which costs way more than the SE.

The battery life is also much better due to the A15 bionic chipset which will please new owners, the handset comes with a lightening cable and you can reserve yours from the 11/03/22, the full release will be on 18 March 2022.
