High Sherrif of Greater Manchester  Diane Hawkins JP DL LLB has presented Urmston Freemason Eddie Wilkinson with the prestigious High Sheriff of Greater Manchester Special Recognition Award.

The award is made to an individual or group of individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to their community.

Eddie is a valued member of Flixton Lodge 4869 who meet at Urmston Masonic Hall on the third Monday of each month. Having been a Mason for many years Eddie is no stranger to supporting the community although he does like to keep himself out of the limelight and prefers to work in the background.

As well as Eddie’s charity work within Freemasonry he also carries his Masonic principles of charity and brotherly love into his every day life where he supports many charities and community groups.

The High Sherriff presented Eddie with his award at a special presentation dinner at Mulino restaurant in Urmston.
