Police responded to reports of a RTC (Road Traffic Collision) that involved what we believe to be a teenage girl near to Altrincham Leisure Centre at around 3pm yesterday afternoon (18 July)

On Facebook we saw a full statement on the incident which said “The girl collided with a black vehicle” and that she was in a serious condition.

More police and ambulances turned up and the North West Ambulance Service to help treat the injured teenage girl who according to Police had ‘Significant head injuries’ she was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Oakfield Road was taped off for hours so investigators can get to work to figure out how this collision happened.

Local councillor Michael Welton sent out a message on Twitter saying: “Distressing news of a serious collision on Oakfield Road in Altrincham around school run time.

“Thinking of those involved and hoping for the best.

“Heartbreaking as I am sitting here working on a Vision Zero motion right now.”
