Police have appealed for information after a serious assault happened on board a tram bound for Manchester City Centre.
The incident happened at around 10.20pm last night (2 March) at Cornbrook Interchange in Old Trafford.
It has been reported that a man and woman were seriously hurt in the incident and police are looking for witnesses to this incident.
Some people on social media mentioned that they do not feel safe on public transport despite GM Mayor Andy Burnham wanting more people to use it, others are saying that security is needed on board trams during the evening as its no longer safe.
We are awaiting more information from GMP on this incident.
