Shoppers on School Road in Sale got a bit of a surprise on Wednesday as Trafford Council workmen installed 11 lampposts.

One shopper complained about how cluttered the shopping area looked and others were wondering why they were installed in the first place.

With so much infrastructure being installed on School Road this could be an issue for the blind or Partially sighted, more obstacles to deal with is not good.

Whilst we do not believe these lampposts to be sinister it could be for more 5G Millimetre Wave antennas which uses Ultra High Frequency invisible beams to give more data speed, we have already seen two lampposts with these antennas on them.

A One Trafford worker was approached for information and he claims they are simply for Christmas Lights because the council does not want them on the trees which we found to be a bit weird having checked the installed lampposts they have no hook or anything on them that can have a line on them to accommodate a set of existing Christmas Lights.

We have asked Trafford Council for more information.
