Popular Beer Festival Returns to Sale for 2026

Plans are taking shape for this years South Of The River Beer Festival, based at Trafford MV Rugby Club, in Sale on the southern bank of the River Mersey.

Always a well attended event the festival will be held on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September and will feature a great mix of cask ales and ciders plus a range of fizz, cocktails and Gin Bar – Low and No Alcohol drinks will also be available.

Live music across the genres will be playing from 5.00pm on Fri and Noon on Saturday. To keep energy levels at a high there will be a fantastic range of street food served up from our own kitchen.

The festival coincides with the start of the Rugby Union season for Trafford MV and they will be playing rugby alongside the event, with the fixture list yet to be announced we don’t know the opposition but there is sure to be plenty of action for those who enjoy live sport. Televised sport will be shown inside the clubhouse for those looking for alternative sport.

The event is looking for a main Glass Sponsor as well as Barrel Sponsors – this is an ideal way for local business to engage within the community with their customers / clients or indeed with their own staff in a friendly convivial way.

The Festival has linked up with Prevent Breast Cancer as their Charity Partner for the 2026 event and a % of sponsor monies as well as proceeds of raffles and donations at the event will go towards raising funds for the charity.
