Twinkl funding: Primary School in Sale to create a multifunctional wellbeing space

Leading education publisher, Twinkl, has thrilled teachers across the country after donating a total of £40,000 directly to schools, through its Community Collection Giving Tuesday campaign.

One of the lucky recipients was St. Anne’s CE Primary School in Sale, Greater Manchester, who will use their share of the funding, alongside other resources, to support the development of the space that hosts their newly-established ‘Rise & Shine Club’.

The club was created in response to a growing number of children experiencing Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA), providing a calm, nurturing environment to help children transition from home to school.

The school has decided to use the funding from Twinkl to create a multifunctional space that will serve children and support them during lunchtimes and core lessons.

By transforming their computer suite into an inviting, botanical-themed environment with collaborative workspaces, the school aims to offer a more sustainable, welcoming sanctuary that allows every child to feel safe, valued and ready to learn. 

Twinkl’s Community Collection, which received over 3,000 applications as part of this campaign, is helping bring a diverse range of educational projects to life. By funding school projects, Twinkl champions literacy and inclusion, and directly supports those teachers with bold ideas and the determination to make these projects happen.

By offering calm, care, and consistency at the start of the day, the Rise & Shine Club helps children feel that school is a safe place where they belong.”
