The Stretford Makers Market returns on 2 August, bringing another vibrant celebration of independent businesses, live entertainment and family-friendly activities to the heart of the town as it continues to play a key role in the ongoing regeneration of Stretford town centre.
Taking place on King Street and adjacent to Chester Road from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 2 August, the market has become an important part of Stretford’s transformation, helping to bring new life, increased footfall and a renewed sense of community back to the town centre.
Visitors can enjoy a fantastic day of shopping, street food and entertainment while supporting dozens of independent businesses from across the region. The market showcases an outstanding selection of artisan makers, food producers, bakers, artists and creative entrepreneurs, offering everything from handmade gifts and homeware to locally produced food and speciality products.
Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day by E & M Music Academy, while families can enjoy free face painting and children’s craft workshops hosted by Artful Dodger, making the event the perfect summer day out for visitors of all ages.
Food lovers will be spoilt for choice with a tempting street food line-up featuring Pasta at Home, serving freshly made pasta with homemade toppings, Snoopdog with its popular loaded hot dogs, and Crepe Corner, offering both sweet and savoury crêpes.
Alongside the street food, shoppers will have the opportunity to discover an impressive collection of independent traders, including artisan bakers, cheesemongers, delis, chocolatiers, cake makers, fragrance specialists, artists, homeware creators and craft businesses, reflecting the diversity and quality of the region’s thriving small business community.
The market forms part of Stretford’s wider regeneration story, creating a welcoming destination where residents and visitors can come together, support local enterprise and experience the changing face of the town centre. By attracting visitors from across Greater Manchester, the event is helping to breathe new energy into Stretford while championing the independent businesses at the heart of its revival.
