Couples are being invited to celebrate the place where they said “yes” as a local family-owned jeweller launches a nationwide competition to uncover the UK’s favourite proposal stories. 

Beaverbrooks Trafford on The Trafford Centre has revealed the 15 most proposal-worthy locations in the UK, creating a Proposal Map of the UK’ using Instagram hashtag data to help couples searching for the perfect place to pop the question. 

The study crowned the Lake District as the UK’s most idyllic destination, with the London Eye taking second place and Tower Bridge securing third. From iconic city landmarks to breathtaking beauty spots, the rankings offer inspiration for anyone planning to ask one of life’s biggest questions. 

While the research is designed to help future fiancés discover the perfect backdrop for their proposal, Beaverbrooks is also celebrating those who have already taken that next step.  

To mark the launch of the proposal map, Beaverbrooks Trafford is inviting couples across  to share the story of where they got engaged for the chance to win their wedding jewellery up to £1,000, helping one lucky couple take the next step towards saying “I do”. 

Whether it happened on a favourite walking route, at a local landmark, on a dream holiday or simply somewhere that holds special memories, Beaverbrooks believes every proposal has a story worth telling.
