Police appeal for information after a woman was robbed in her own home in Hale

Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed in her own home in Hale.


At around 7pm on June 29, a woman was in her home on Rydal Drive when she heard a loud noise, she assumed this was her husband, she goes downstairs only to be confronted by three masked men.

Two of the men went upstairs to search the property, whilst the third man stayed with the woman and forced her to hand over jewellery.

The woman bravely defended herself, but the man continued before leaving the scene, all three men got into a car and made off down Hale Road.

One of the offenders is described as being mixed race, and the other two are described as white and all in their late teens wearing masks and gloves.

Detective Constable Paul Walls of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “These men went into a family home and left them in complete shock after what must have been a terrifying attack.

“They took their jewellery and valuables, but these men have also taken this family’s ability to feel safe and secure in their own home.

“At this time of day, the road would have been busy with people returning to work, so I’m urging anyone who may have seen anything to please come forward.”
