Teenage boy knifed at Pickering Lodge Park in Timperley

Police were called at around 5.55pm on Aug 21 to reports that a teenager had been stabbed on Pickering Lodge Park, Timperley.

The 16-year-old was taken to hospital with a stab wound to the chest where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Another boy, also aged 16, was assaulted.

Two males one of which was knifed was playing basketball when four lads from Stretford approached them and tried to take a high value mountain bike, it was then the 16-year-old was knifed, the bike was stolen by one of the others.

Officers attended and a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
