Fires broke out on grass land in Broadheath and Sale today in scorching heat

first fire was reported to Greater Manchester Fire was at the end of Cherry Lane in Sale on a route popular with cyclists, the entire land top the right has been burnt although it seems fire fighters managed to control it before it continued into a wildlife sanctuary.

The other fire was started at around 2.30 on land off Sinderland Road, the damage seen was extensive, this fire was under control also and firemen seen making sure all flames were out.

All was made safe and the firemen left the scene.
