Award winning singer Gladys Knight has been chosen to perform the national anthem for America at this years Superbowl.
We will find out on Sunday who will be playing at the Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta on Feb 3rd.
Gladys Knight now aged 74 also known as ‘The empress of soul’ is a 7 time Grammy award winner, she is best known for hits with her band Gladys Knight and the Pips, she also recorded the theme song to ‘Licence to kill’ in 1989.
The Superbowl is one of the worlds most watched sporting events pulling in millions of viewers around the world, here in the UK we have a huge army of fans of all teams with Wembley Stadium holding several games every year and all are sold out.
