Police are investigating after a blue Jaguar XE Sport lost control and collided with The Carters Arms pub on Northenden Road in Sale.
The incident happened around 1.45am on January 19. The driver left the scene before police arrived.
On arrival, officers and paramedics discovered a man in his 20s trapped in the passenger seat. He remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital with multiple injuries.
No arrests have been made so far
PC Steve Smith, from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “The driver, who fled the scene and is yet to come forward to police, climbed over his trapped passenger to get out of the car and left him there with serious injuries.
“We really need to hear from the public – if you know anything about this collision then please get in touch.
“We also want to speak to anyone who saw the collision take place or saw the car in the area beforehand, and we are particularly keen to hear from anyone who might have dash-cam footage.”
