A driver ran off after a fail to stop road traffic collision in Partington over the weekend.

He abandoned his vehicle alongside some bushes and torched it, firefighters were called and managed to put out the fire.

The car was recovered once it had cooled down, police are saying they are making further enquiries.

We believe no one was injured in the incident.
