EasyJet flight from Manchester to Bari diverts after the captain falls ill

Mid air drama as an Easy Jet flight U2-1825 from Manchester to Bari Italy is diverted to Venice after the captain fell seriously ill.


The Airbus A319 with 138 people on board took off from Manchester at just after 8am on Aug 3rd and landed safely at Venice Marco Polo Airport, where emergency services was waiting, paramedics took care of the captain and went to a nearby hospital.

All the passengers are safe and went into the airport they had to wait a reported 3-hours before bording the same aircraft to its final destination in Italy.

We believe the captain was complaining of chest pains coming off the flight and continues to be monitored in a nearby hospital.
