Altrincham Retail Park looks set to welcome Lidl if they get planning approval from Trafford Council.
It will mean Homebase will expand and it seems people will no longer be able to walk into the retail park from the side entrance from Huxley Street.
As it is now, the garden centre will become the new home of Lidl, a wall will be built as a devide with Homebase on the other side who will also get a new warehouse section at the back with other refurbishments, the garden centre will be built next to Homebase.
An extended car park will be built at the friont and access will be from George Richards Way.
The new Lidl store will be 20,000ft squared by 1,858m squared so it will be a very big store and will offer more choice for shoppers.
The application will be heard at a planning meeting soon and is expected to pass with conditions.
