TV medium Derek Acorah has died aged 69.
His wife Gwen announced the death on Facebook in which she says:
“Farewell my love! I will miss you forever! I’m devastated to announce that my beloved husband Derek has passed away after a very brief illness. Thank you so much to everybody who has supported me – I can never thank you enough.”
Derek will be best known for his part in Living TV’s Most Haunted which was a reality series with paranormal experts following him around in haunted places from 2002 to 2010.
The medium continued with his TV work after some negative feedback appearing in three series of ‘Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns in 2008, he appeared on Bo Selecta, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, and other daytime TV programmes.
According to Wikipedia when he was young was on the books at Liverpool FC although he did not make it and ended up playing his football career in Australia.
In recent times Derek was part of a TV series called ‘The past hunters’ in 2015 and appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
