Altrincham Golf Course will reopen its driving range from Saturday 30th May 2020, with revised safety guidelines and social distancing measures to ensure the wellbeing of both its customers and its staff.
The driving range will be open daily to the public between 11am to 9pm, with the last slot available for booking at 8pm.
All bookings and payments must be made in advance and online.
To ensure people can use the driving range safely, Trafford Leisure has introduced limited bays, with sessions restricted to 50 minutes.
The team at Trafford Leisure will be cleaning and sanitising all balls between uses and will be asking customers to bring their own golf clubs.
The cost to play is £8 per basket of balls, with a maximum of two people per bay (from the same household) per session. Full details of the new guidelines and booking procedures can be found on the golf course website :https://altrinchamgolfclub.com/driving-range/
Paul Murray, General Manager, Altrincham Golf Course, says:
“We successfully reopened the golf course earlier in May and have been delighted to see so many happy faces enjoying golf again. Following further advice from PGA, England Golf and the British & International Golf Green Keeping Association, my team has now completed its hard work to get the recommended measures in place for the driving range, which will allow our customers to use this fantastic facility with confidence. There are a number of other changes to how the driving range will operate and we are asking users to kindly abide by the rules for both their own and others’ safety.”
Paul Murray continues: “The driving range is a great way for both beginners and experts to practice their golf swing. It is suitable for the young to the old, and is fun way to exercise and keep active. The golf course bookings have proved extremely popular and we are expecting the driving range to be equally in demand. We look forward to welcoming you to our driving range.”
